Was able to render it to have hindi in svg format using: xmlstarlet tr osmarender.xsl osm-map-features-z17.xml > map.svg and http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Osmarender/Howto I used name=हिंदी. If I use name:hi, then how to use above commands to get rendering using name:hi inplace of default.
