No, I'm using a Sony Ericsson K750i, I've recorded up to 3 hours with that before (which then filled up the 16Mb limit and caused me to miss some mapping, but that's another story.

Are you using a Nokia mobile ? My Nokia recording app works only for 1 min. It seems dedicated to take short notes...

One choice that may not be immediately obvious is your mobile phone. I've been using one for a few years with good results, has hands free so means a microphone right by your mouth and records to compressed files that I can then bluetooth to my laptop. Works really well for me. Doesn't offer any synchronisation features but that hasn't really been a problem.

I could not find any recommendations for suitable hardware for recording (with synchronisation)

It would certainly be easier than using my camera.
Anybody got any pertinent recommendations.
As I don't have any experience (yet) what I need to know
is what is the most practical hardware to use?
Obviously some equipment available is junk:
I know that but right now I cannot separate the junk from the usable stuff.

Got any ideas
