I've been trying to get to grips with the data, trying to find things bring up maps of things etc etc. Maybe I'm missing something but our front end is a bit limited.
I can think of a number of enhancements, Maybe a to do list is required... or maybe I'm being stupid. 1. Goto Lat,Long would be helpful just a box you can enter the data in and it shows you the map. 2. The Gazetteer is slow and very limited. It does not really work on the simple stuff like try typing in London it will give you tow small cities called London before it gets to the very large one that is the capital of the Uk. This may be due to the lack of data but I actually think its a code problem. 3. Data It would be nice if we could have a list of meta data brought up when you search, like Multimap does, so it says what the latitude and longitude is and where is the nearest station, pub, garage etc etc. Don't get me wrong OSM has some excellent data but its easy of use that will get more people using it. I'm more than happy to help, (Says he a computer programmer) but don't really want to step on anyone else's toes.
