Ok, I think I found the culprit, I noticed another road I had added details to had the details all wiped and replaced with an is_in tag that wasn't there before. I believe this person is modifying data they have locally and then uploading it, overriding changes which have been made in the weeks since they downloaded. I sent a message to the person through the OSM site, but this actually affects a fairly large number of ways. Is it possible to roll back changes like that?
