Linux is more developer-friendly, which means that you'll see more  
capable programs on Linux sooner.  BUT precisely because it *is*  
developer-friendly, you'll see less attention paid to usability  
issues.  BUT if you're writing a program for an embedded device, you  
have full control over the user experience, so you can control the  
usability.
