I don't think you were suggesting that people should breach copyright
laws, but it gets pretty difficult to know when you get to the point
of breaching a copyright when using another map to figure out what
different road classifications are. It's stated quite often that  one
can not copy the street names off a map, as that would be a breach of
copyright. But what of looking at a map, and determining what road
classification level should be assigned to a section of roadway? That
should also be as much of a breach of copyright as copying a street
name.

I guess really, the issue is that one needs to really be cognizant of
just how much information they transfer from one medium to the next.
