Hi I noticed that one of the landscape features that appears to be most missing from the UK is the runs of electricity cables & pylons, which seems a shame seeing their height are useful for getting your bearings. I suppose the reason is that many are hard to get a location for.
Has anybody enquired to the National Grid so see if they have & are willing to release a database of their infrastructure? I know there's an appreciation society for pylons: http://www.pylons.org/ I'll send them an email if I don't joy here.
