Hello there,

I've registered to OSM about 5 days ago, and have managed to do some
things. I have a Blackberry 8310 with GPSLogger and have recorded two or
three tracks which I managed to upload to OSM. I drawed a missing road
in Potlatch, which worked quite well, although I only tagged the highway
type. I did all of this within Windows (Vista), since I couldn't do it
in Linux (Debian). I work with a Laptop with OEM Vista installed on it,
and I installed Debian Linux in a separate partition, and am working now
mainly with it. I still keep the Vista partition for things I cannot do
with Linux, like connencting to my Blackberry.

My problem with OSM and Linux is that Potlatch won't start when I want
to edit. I also installed Josm, but I can not get any plugins to work. I
get an error message like "access denied". Does anybody have an idea how
to get Potlatch and Josm to work with Debian Linux?

Best regards
Martin Müller
