I solved the Potlatch issue: installing gnash with OpenGL backend rendering didn't solve anything. So I tried to install adobe flash player from the Adobe homepage. The .deb package didn't work, since it's made for x86 architectures, and I got amd64. I found the solution in: http://wiki.debian.org/FlashPlayer Following the instructions, I finally got the Adobe flash player installed, and Potlatch opens with no problems.
