One of the tricky parts of tagging is having to translate from the British terms to local terms.
Pitch in these parts is what you do with a baseball, or find running out of a wound in a tree. In the OSM world it's a sports field. Because my heritage is English and Scottish, many terms are somewhat familiar, but for those who don't have that background, or are using English as a second language, it can be pretty daunting trying to figure out what tag matches what you are looking to tag.
