I realized after I made that comment I wasn't specific enough. I should have said the JOSM Validator plug-in doesn't like abbreviations, and will flag them as an error. The editor itself doesn't care. One reason I don't like abbreviations, is that I've run across a few that I don't have a clue what they stand for. St (or Str), Ave (or Av), Rd, Ln (or La), Ct (or Crt), Al, Cir (or Cr), Hwy (or Hw or Hy), Blvd, and a few others I have no problem with, but I've run across two or three that I've never seen before, unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to write them down at the time, and since the letters didn't mean anything to me, I've forgotten them. -- Randy _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/newbies
