It must just be a prejudice against West Oxon :-) I sometimes see the same thing when downloading tiles. I have a linksys BEFSX41 router, not yet upgraded to tomato or one of the open WRT firmrwares. I only have problems with osm sites. Any correlation with your router? If so, I guess one of us should post on the list...
