Such a simple question!

Getting maps on to paper is far easier said than done. The easiest way is to
start with www.openstreetbrowser.org and see if it renders the POIs you want
and then simply print the screen. Or cheat and use a photo editor to add the
POI afterwards!

The customisable renderers all require quite a bit of setting up. Osmarender by
default will only display what's on the OSM site so you will need to add a rule
for the POI you want. When you have the SVG file that it generates you will
need an editor like Inkscape to print it out. Takes ages to run, though.

Kosmos is a bit easier to get going. Well worth a look.

Kosmos' replacement, Maperitive, is looking really good so far. It's not mature
enough yet for printable maps, but it might do what you need. It can export a
Mapnik or Osmarender image as a bitmap and to add a rule to overlay a POI would
be easy. This might well do it. Can you be more specific about what you want to
do?

Mapnik can be set up locally and customised, not for the feint hearted though!

Maposmatic is great, but only prints Mapnik at zoom 16.

And those are about your choices really, but have a look at
