Hai everyone, I am a student from india. And is very interested in mapping, and have been doing my bit with the aerial imagery available. But the imagery is not so good for india as it is for european or american countries. Our country's metros are some what well covered but other towns and cities or completely off. You can try adding a street in mysore, for example, using aerial imagery.
But in case of the above mentioned countries its mapped to the street level to even building level. The main advantage seems to be the easy availability of gps devices among other reasons. So i would like to ask the help of all those who recieve this mail. I don't need any kind of monetary sponsorship or anything like that. Can someone who has a old gps device unused in your home would be kind enough to pass it on to me. I would be very greatful . In our country We are ready to process the raw data but getting our hands on raw data is what thats hard. Help me generate some.
