Thank you for your help so far. I found if I clicked on an already digitised building then "Building" appeared in the left drop down list under the "simple" menu. However there weere only three categories - Sports centre, Kindergarden and post office. I have a lot to learn. I wonder if JOSM will be more useful for onscreen digitising stuff like this?
