I use josm. I wonder if I could save as layer WMS as jpg....
The easy way: In JOSM just right-click on the WMS layer in the layers window
and save it to a file.
Yeah, but I want to save as an image: jpg, png, etc. And I think josm is
not to be able to do that. Java 5 serialization file is the type it
saves (I use file myname.jpg)
For script guys: Bigmap is an example how to get and join tiles. Perl code
is available. It can be adapted as required.

Thanks Willi. I just want a "glue" program for download all necessary
WMS images (in my case 500x500 pixel images) of an area and join
together for having a big (I know) picture.
