Hallo Ian,

Thanks for the info.

I think that you are right.

It is a lot off work for a small result.

Thanks anyway.

Greetings,

Thomas

Hi, if you wish to use OSM maps, then you need to install gps software that
works with osm maps.

A few options are :

gosmore

Navit

Mapfactor Navigator Free

Of the three I recommend Mapfactor Navigator Free. this is easy to install and
works pretty well.

If your intention was to update your commercial maps already installed on the
Navman using OSM data, well you can't.

You will probably find the maps you already have work better than OSM maps
anyway.

Cheers, Ian

Subject: [OSM-newbies] what next

Hallo everybody,

I’m a newbie and I’m confused.

Mine intention for joining OSM is to update mine Navman N20 with new
information.

I have unlocked mine Navman with the unlock program.

I have downloaded Planet Benelux osm.gz and extracted this.

But what do I do with the Planet Benelux osm. Pbf file?

And how can I use this to get the data into my Navman?

Greetings,

Thomas
