I output a PDF and tried to open it in Illustrator CS5.1 of a Mac running Mavericks 10.9. The file opens, but all the characters in the document are rectangles with Xs through them. It pops up an error looking for DejaVuSans. I tracked down the font and installed it and it doesn't seem to change anything. It seems like all the character information is lost when I open it in Illustrator. When I open it in Acrobat or Preview it shows up fine.

The fonts seem to be exploded everywhere, to the point the map is entirely hidden. Is there some way around this? -- View this message in context: http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/Opening-Map-PDF-won-t-render-fonts-properly-tp5793642.html Sent from the Newbies mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/newbies
