[root@localhost root]# rpm -e hcfpcimodem-0.99mbsibeta02123100k2.4.18_19.8.0-1rh/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.39516: line 2: /usr/sbin/hcfpciconfig: No such file or directory
error: %preun(hcfpcimodem-0.99mbsibeta02123100k2.4.18_19.8.0-1rh) scriptlet failed, exit status 127
[root@localhost root]#

Instead of typing out the whole name, you should be able to just
rpm -e hcfpcimodem
