I got the CVS version, but that was several months ago.  Whenever I get the
message like that, it is usually a permissions problem with the windows
mount.  If I run as root(dangerous I know) it usually solves the problem.

No, cause that is what I did.  I was getting similar errors (winnt.dll or
something) too with the CVS.

I guess a good question is what are you trying to run?  There are forums for
games and what not on the transgaming site that you should have access to
now, they help me quite a bit.  Some games you really have to manipulate to
get to run.
