Switch to kde :) Actually I've had that problem too, but soon after
moved to kde and like it a little better. I'll be interested in the
responses this gets.

Subject: [newbies] Gnome trouble

I installed Redhat 8 recently and today when I begin a session using the
Gnome GUI, I get the error message, "critical error with Gnome-panel" or
something to that effect. Gnome-panel crashes, leaving me with just a
blank desktop. I have to CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE to use another GUI. Gnome
appears to otherwise be fine. How can I fix this gnome-gui problem?

Best,

Tony
