In Evolution, Tools->Settings. Click on the account you are trying to use, then click Edit. Click on the Sending Mail tab, Check the "Server requires authentication" box, check Remember this Password, put your username in the box. The next time you try to send mail, a prompt will pop up asking you for your password. Let us know if that fixes the problem.
