[newbies] Debian Startx problem

Hi to all.  I just got done with the initial installation of Debian 
3.0.  Got the network working.. that was quite a battle... and have a 
command line.  However, when I try to do startx, it reports back:



/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit/xserverrc:  /usr/bin/X11/X:  No such file or 
directory
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xinit/xserverrc:  exec: /usr/bin/X11/X:  cannot 
execute: No such file or directory
giving up.
xinit:  Connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server
xinit:  No such process(errno 3):  Server error.



Any ideas?  Clearly, it's missing needed files, but I am uncertain of 
how to replace/create them.  Many advance thanks--
