I've just installed red hat 7.2 on an older machine.
(different machine than my recent posts to the main
uug list, in case it matters to anyone.) It's a
100MHz machine with 32Meg of RAM. It's currently set
up to run the gnome gui. The only problem is that the
gui crashes on boot, and I can't seem to log in to any
account except root.

What gui's use fewer system resources and are a good
choice for an older machine with little ram and a slow
processor like this one?

And does anyone know how to handle accounts from the
command line?

Thanks!
