First, make sure the ISOs are valid by mounting them, using something like: mount -t iso9660 -o loop nameofimage.iso /mnt/cdrom Look through the files and make sure they're okay. Then unmount it with: umount /mnt/cdrom Then, for burning ISO images, I usually just use the command-line tool "cdrecord". It's simple and it's easy. First do: cdrecord -scanbus to find out the 3 SCSI numbers for your cd burner (mine is 0,0,0--the first SCSI device). Then burn the CD like this (this is how I do it, anyways, there are multiple ways): cdrecord -v speed=8 dev=0,0,0 -data nameofimage.iso You can alter the "speed" and "dev" settings according to what speed and what the 3 SCSI numbers are for your own burner. That should do it! ~ ross -- This sentence would be seven words long if it were six words shorter. _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://phantom.byu.edu/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/newbies
