This thursdays meeting: "Don't Fear the Penguin" is coming up, and we're going to need help. The basic meeting layout will be a collection of small presentations discussing a subject, to help explain basics of the application (config, use, cool tricks). The problem is that I can't do it all. I don't use gnome, kde, and kmail. So we need some volenteers to help present.
Here's the planned subjects:
Desktops:
Gnome <- Need help
KDE <- Need help
Mail apps/PIM
Evolution <- I can (if necessary)
Kmail (and the KDE apps) <- Need help
Shell <- I've got it taken care of
Basic internet apps (presented as one subject)
Mozilla/Firefox, gAIM, xchat <- I can (if necessary)
With each of these subjects I'm asking that you make a brief
doc/html/slideshow discribing the things you'll be teaching. That way we
can use the information for future installfests as something to point
people to after installing.
If you want to participate and help out, email me off-list and I'll let
you know some more details on what to put together. I should have an
example worked out by tomorrow.
Thanks for the help at the installfest too.
