Hi again guys

I while ago I posted a question regarding a problem I was getting when
installing FC2 in my double boot comp. The problem I had was that during
the FC2 installation, a message box would pop up. It said that there
were problems when reading the hard disk geometry, and it prompts you to
either ignore or cancel the installation, and it says it is safe to
ignore it. Well, I did, and after the installation completed I could not
boot Windows!!.

Some people in the list told me to try a few things (like doing a
fixmbr in the WinXP Recovery console or try other programs), but DON'T
DO ANYTHING. By playing around and trying to fix it I actually screwed
up the partition tables. Luckily for me I had most of my important stuff
backed up in my comp at work.

This problem is severe but it is easy to fix. Most important thing is
not to panic. It happens that this is a very known bug in the Fedora
Core 2 installation, and a friend sent me this link that has a very
thorough explanation of the problem, and it says how to prevent it by
doing something before installing, and also it explains how to fix it.

I tried the prevention steps and it worked perfectly :)

I thought I should post this in case that you like to have the same
distro the have in the labs at the Talmage(that was the topic of another
thread I started in the non-newbie list). Maybe it would save someone a
headache.
