Not to fond of the whole label thing myself. Just as easy to put in the
device files imho. I guess it would be useful for removable media though.
Anyway, if you use grub, you can edit the selection before booting by
pushing e, then where it says Linux change it to /dev/hda1 or /dev/hda3
or whatever partition your root fs is on. If using lilo, you'll have
to boot with a rescue disc and edit the lilo.conf in /etc/.
Report back on if that made any sense and what luck you have with it :)
