So, we have the next Newbies Meeting coming up this Thursday (January 20). I'm looking for volunteers who would like to do a very brief (2-3 minute *MAX*) presentation on one of the following topics:
1) KDE/Gnome (this one can go up to 5 minutes, but not any longer than that)... 2) Linux Replacements for Common Windows Apps 3) Editors (stick to nano or pico, and possibly explain the existance of emacs and vim, but don't focus on those) 4) Command-Line Basics 5) Where to go for help The rest of the time, after these are done will be spent in Q/A for the new users, and resolving issues that crop up after the installfest... :) Thanks for helping out!!!! -- Erin Sharmahd [EMAIL PROTECTED] CS Student Unix Users Group PGP Fingerprint: F352 FF41 EA0A 67E4 566B 3B5B E65A D3DC 083E 9336
