I've double-checked with each of the candidates, and the official
election results are in. First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who
participated. Some of you may have been bored with the volume of emails
on the issue, but it only happens once a year, and I thought it was very
enjoyable.

This Thursday we're going to have the end-of-semester fragfest. It's
not a meeting. You will learn nothing. You'd probably be more
productive doing anything else. But it should be fun and take your mind
off of finals. It will mark the official start-of-reign for our new
overlords, who will organize the meeting. Expect an email message this
week.

The new president and vice-president will be Erin Sharmahd and Topher
Fischer. Since Erin will be gone for the summer, Topher will be acting
president during that time. Jamie Cummings will be the PR officer, and
Michael Moore will be the webmaster. Finally, Jacob Albretsen will be
the new Librarian/Mailing List Secretary. [ If this is a surprise to
any of you, I invite you to speak to me personally. I talked Jake into
accepting his election in spite of his previous feelings, and I expect
all of you to respect that. I take full responsibility, and I strongly
feel that any public whining is entirely inappropriate. ]

Good luck to the new officers. I'm looking forward to the next year.
Remember to give them suggestions, volunteer for presentations, and in
general to try to take personal responsibility for making the club a
little bit better. The UUG is a community.

See you all on Thursday.
