Hey all,

I'm trying to play dvd's in ubuntu still. I have all of the libdvd
and css stuff, but when I do
$mplayer /media/cdrom (that's where the dvd resides)
I get the following:

Linux RTC init error in ioctl (rtc_irqp_set 1024): Permission denied
Try adding "echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq" to your
system startup scripts.

So. I couldn't find much that I could make sense of searching for
this, and how would I go about adding that echo statement to my
startup scripts?

Thanks everyone.
