Appending g to many movements will cause Vim to move by visual line. I usually do the following when I'm working with a file like that: noremap j gj ; down noremap k gk ; up noremap $ g$ ; end of line noremap ^ g^ ; start of line noremap 0 g0 ; far left start of line These commands keep the original ones available. noremap gj j noremap gk k noremap g$ $ noremap g^ ^ noremap g0 0 -- Scott Paul Robertson http://spr.mahonri5.net GnuPG FingerPrint: 09ab 64b5 edc0 903e 93ce edb9 3bcc f8fb dc5d 7601
