Our next meeting is coming up. Peter McNabb will be presenting on Regular expressions:
Where: 340 Crabtree (CTB) When: 7:30pm Making Sense of [Ir]Regular Expressions Do you ever get the feeling, "There's got to be a faster way to do this..."? Do you spend too much time digging through log files or being frustrated with sissy "Search and Replace" dialogs? Become a productive *nix guru by mastering regular expressions! Peter McNabb will cover the basics of reading and writing regex and show how to use them with grep, Perl, Python and Vim (maybe even Java). At the end, you'll be able to understand what "([EMAIL PROTECTED],6})" means and why you would care. --- General Linux help will be available from 7pm till 7:25pm. -- Scott Paul Robertson http://spr.mahonri5.net GnuPG FingerPrint: 09ab 64b5 edc0 903e 93ce edb9 3bcc f8fb dc5d 7601
