hello all,

first post on the UUG. i am a junior in computer engineering, so
I've taken the CS classes up through 240 and am currently in 324.
after talking to some recruiters today at the job fair, i really feel
like the next step i want to take is to get involved in a real life
programming project not only to help my resume, but to get some good
solid real world experience. how would a newbie with basic
programming knowledge get involved in a FOSS project? any advice or
tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
