Hi Geoff,

I can so relate to your feelings about the changes to NewDocs. I still have to
stop and think to find pages the team uses. Things were so simple in the early
days, *sigh*. I suppose that's what happens with a community project, however.
I'm thinking about proposing that the helpful links page be removed from the L
page and given it's own spot elsewhere; I just haven't figures out where.

The tool of high hit pages is overwhelming, isn't it? Thankfully you figured
out how to find the pages as web links. Actually, going through it, checking
the pages, and sorting it out could be a helpful job for a new or temporary
team member. It doesn't really relate to what you've been doing. i.e. finding
new pages. It's probably more up my street and I figured I could treat like the
Bank and only focus on the relevant letter. For other purposes it could be
ignored or kept in the back of our minds as information in case we need it.

Regarding sacking you, we're all volunteers!!! IOW, none of us has the
authority. Even with a resignation, and I know I do a lot of the writing for
the team, I would feel neither comfortable nor qualified to write anybody's
resignation as a wiki thread announcement. I figure if and when the time comes,
I won't even write one for myself. I confess response (or lack of until NewDocs
birthday) has been a bit disappointing there, but at least we're keeping
NewDocs out there as an active project. Maybe we've done too much recruiting
and folks are afraid if they say something they'll be corralled into
"volunteering", LOL

Anyway, I think we need to seriously consider your points and objections,
Geoff. Thank you so much for at least taking the time to express them. It's far
too easy to just get carried along and never stop to analyze changes to a given
project. Not all ideas are good ones and not all change is progress.

Best wishes,
Leigh
