Are you sure the port 2056 is not used by another server ?
Could you try to remove the bind address ?

I am runnning newpki-2.0.0-beta3 on linux 7.3 with gcc 3.2 and
openldap 2.0.27.

I have a base, repository, 2 CA and publication entities.

I have enabled OCSP in the publication entity but notice in the newpki
log the following errors:

##### {SOCKET server} > Thu Feb 12 16:24:26 2004# OCSP -
pkibase_publish : Starting socket server...
##### {SOCKET server} > Thu Feb 12 16:24:26 2004# OCSP -
pkibase_publish : Could not bind #1 the socket
##### {SOCKET server} > Thu Feb 12 16:24:26 2004# OCSP -
pkibase_publish : Stopping socket server...
##### {SOCKET server} > Thu Feb 12 16:24:27 2004# OCSP -
pkibase_publish : Socket server is stopped

I have enabled and configured OCSP to bind address: localhost and port
2056.

Any ideas on what might be the problem?

Basically, I am not really sure how to configure the publication
entity:-)

I have added a publication method for the root CA of type CRL.
I am not sure what to add for the various options though - I have
guessed at using TemplatePlugOptions.xml but don't know what to put
for the name and path-to-plugin-on-server.

I have looked through the code but have not been able to work out the
problem. Is there any documentation on the publication entity (I have
already obtained and read the newpki 2.0 howto:-))

Any help would be appreciated.
