Ok.
The thing that is really weird is that the same test is used in
newpki-lib, and you didn't seem to have a problem with it...
You can always remove the tests:
- edit configure.in
- remove this block:
dnl Checking openssl version

- run "autoconf"
You should now be able to run the configure.
