Hi ! Possibly a stupid mistake...
Platform is Windows 2000. Installed MySql 5.0 - started it, works perfect. Downloaded and installed the RC1 server. Installed it, started the service. (Looks good, so far). Downloaded and installed the RC1 client. Installed it, started it, logged on.
