Serbian Minister of Justice Vladan Batic addressed Carla del Ponte, Chief Prosecutor of the Hague international tribunal, to set charges against Albanian terrorists Hashim Thagi, Ramush Haradinaj and Agim Ceku in order to prevent their participation in the regional parliamentary elections, which will be held in November.
According to RIA Novosti correspondent, Batic's open letter to the Chief Prosecutor, which was made public on Sunday, reads that charges against Albanian terrorists will prove that the "international law is equal for everybody." In Batic's words, "the elections could not be held with participation of both Albanian assassins and Serbian victims." The Minister stressed that several days before the press published virtual confessions of the aforementioned Albanian terrorists in their involvement in the crimes justified by allegedly "high objectives of the so-called liberation struggle." Batic repeatedly summoned the tribunal's representatives to pay their attention to the fact that the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) was a criminal organization involved in kidnapping and assassination of more than 1,300 Serbs, forced eviction of more than 200,000 Serbs, robbery and arsoning of thousands of private houses, more than a hundred Orthodox churches and monasteries, as well as in!

other mass crimes in violation of all acting international conventions.
It seems, the Minister continues, that notwithstanding the recent autopsy data and testimonies of several eyewitnesses the Chief Prosecutor still finds the evidence insufficient.
"The recent events in the USA prove that now we are dealing not only with Kosovo or Metohija problems, but with international struggle against terrorism," Batic believes.
In his words, several thousand mujahedins who used to fight for KLA, are still deployed in Kosovo and Macedonia, while more than 10,000 men directly subordinate to Osama bin Laden, were fighting in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Despite your numerous promises, you have not charged any Muslim political leaders yet," Batic writes in his address.
He is sure that these delays result in new victims, and Washington and New York tragedies are proofs of this statement, for the ones responsible for crimes committed in Kosovo and the United States "have common ideology, which is called fundamentalism."
