Different statements came even from Democratic Party whose leader Zoran Djindjic is of the opinion that we do not need early parliamentary elections before 2004. Thus high DS official Miroljub Labus has completely opposite stance', DSS vice president Dragan Marsicanin said for 'Blic' daily in comment to DOS Presidency decision that republican, province and local elections should be regular elections and held in 2004. Representatives of opposition believe that general elections will be called until the end of the year. 'DOS is in panic fear from elections, but elections will be held until the end of the year. In pre-election campaign DOS promised elections in a year and a half. That was a lie as everything else that DOS promised to people', Vojislav Seselj, leader of Serbian Radical Party said. Vuk Draskovic, leader of Serbian Renewal Movement also believes that elections will be held until the end of 2002. 'More than 80 percent of Serbian citizens require elections. In all civilized countries the crisis that we have in Serbia today is settled in elections only and that will be the case here, too', Draskovic said. 'Decision by DOS Presidency that no elections will be called before 2004 manifests fear of DOS and in the first place DS and its leader Djindjic because of disastrous results of DOS policy. Elections will be held before 2004', Branko Ruzic, spokesman of the Socialist Party of Serbia said. DC president Dragoljub Micunovic: Charter until the end of June Belgrade - President of Democratic center Dragoljub Micunovic said that Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica would address deputies of both Houses of federal Parliament at their mutual session dedicated to Belgrade Agreement for redefinition of relations between Serbia and Montenegro. He also said that all other persons that signed the Agreement had been invited to attend the session. Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic and federal Deputy Premier Miroljub Labus will not come to the session due to their absence on business. Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic still has not confirmed his presence. According to Micunovic, after acceptance of the Agreement working groups of all three parliaments will start their work on constitutional charter. It is expected that the charter will be finished until the end of June. Yugoslav Army Chief-of-Staff: I am not following the news about the Hague Tribunal Nis - Yugoslav Army Chief-of-Staff General Nebojsa Pavkovic said yesterday he did not want to comment media speculations that the Hague Tribunal has given up raising of indictment against him and former commander of Yugoslav Third Army, General Vladimir Lazarevic. 'I am not following the news in media regarding the tribunal. Officially nobody has told me anything and the best would be to let the time say the truth'. Zoran Djindjic sent letter to members of Democratic Party Habits have to be changed Belgrade - Serbian Prime Minister and also leader of Democratic Party Zoran Djindjic sent a letter to members of his party. In that letter he claims that the goal of tour 'Serbia on right way' is 'to hear from the people what the biggest obstacles to more rapid progress are and how these obstacles could be overcome'. 'There are still many old habits and unnecessary obstacles all around us. These obstacles are in administration, in people on high positions and in passive stance of millions of individuals that should take part in the changes', Djindjic wrote. ________________________________________________________ Mira Markovic: There will be no deliveries to the Tribunal Belgrade - President of Yugoslav Left Party Mirjana Markovic said yesterday she did not expect any further deliveries of war crimes suspects to the Hague Tribunal. She denied that her party had any influence on the staff policy of the Socialist Party of Serbia referring to recent exclusion of Branislav Ivkovic from SPS. ________________________________________________________ Serbian deputy Prime Minister Nebojsa Covic: The force cannot solve problems in Kosovo Kosovska Mitrovica - After meeting with UNMIK's Chief Michael Steiner in Pristina, President of Coordination Center for Kosovo Nebojsa Covic talked yesterday with representatives of Serbian National Council, professors of Pristina University and representatives of Serbian municipality. 'Nothing can be solved in Kosovo by force. We have to be wise to defend our national interests. That is not going to be easy. We have to establish a very good cooperation with the international community. Serbs have to be united and that is absolutely necessary for our talk with the international community', Covic said. ________________________________________________________ Labus and Dinkic finished their visit to the Netherlands DAF partner for Ikarbus The Hague - Two-day visit of our state-economic delegation to the Netherlands was finished yesterday by signing of agreement about writing-off and reprogramming of Yugoslav debt to creditors from the Netherlands within Paris Club. The amount that has been written-off is 50 millions of Euros or 5l percent of Yugoslav debt. The rest will be decreased for 15 percent for the period of the following three years. Yugoslav Deputy Premier Miroljub Labus said that talks with Dutch officials, bankers and creditors as well as the whole visit were ' step towards Europe. Governor of the National Bank of Yugoslavia confirmed that agreement about cooperation between RABO bank and our Agrobanka had been signed for crediting of our agriculture. Also our Ikarbus factory signed agreement with DAF according to which DAF shall promote Ikarbus buses in European market. Yugoslav Government announced names of 23 persons being looked for by the Hague Tribunal Three days for voluntary delivery Belgrade - Yugoslav Government yesterday called 23 persons accused for war crimes by the Hague Tribunal to deliver themselves voluntarily. Ten of them are Yugoslav citizens. They have been called to 'make cooperation' with the federal Ministry of Justice within three following days. Del Ponte in Belgrade Belgrade - The Chief prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal Carla Del Ponte should meet today at 11.30 with federal Minister of Justice Savo Markovic. Del Ponte is also to meet with Yugoslav Foreign Minister Svilanovic, Serbian deputy Premier Covic and representatives of Association of families of missing and abducted people from Kosovo.
