 Zastupnik nacelnika Generalstaba Vojske Jugoslavije general-potpukovnik Branko Krga odrzao je u utorak uvodno predavanje najmladjoj, 46. klasi generalstabnog usavrsavanja Skole nacionalne odbrane. General Krga je govorio o stanju u okruzenju i procesu reorganizacije Vojske Jugoslavije, istakavsi potrebu sto brzeg usvajanja Ustavne povelje nove drzavne zajednice Srbije i Crne Gore, definisanja zadataka i polozaja Vojske, na osnovu cega bi se pristupilo izradi strategije nacionalne odbrane i nove vojne doktrine i nastavilo sa daljom reorganizacijom Vojske Jugoslavije.

Zamenik nacelnika Uprave za medjunarodnu vojnu saradnju u Saveznom ministarstvu za odbranu pukovnik Milan Karagaca izjavio je da su Ujedinjene nacije zainteresovane za upucivanje jugoslovenskih oficira u mirovne misije svetske organizacije, ukljucujuci specijalisticke grupe, kao i jedinice Vojske Jugoslavije. "Iako jos nismo pristupili Partnerstvu za mir, pripadnici Saveznog ministarstva za odbranu i Vojske Jugoslavije prisustvuju sve vecem broju specijalistickih kurseva u inostranstvu u organizaciji Partnerstva za mir, Pakta za stabilnost jugoistocne Evrope, medjunarodnih organizacija i pojedinih zemalja, s ciljem da se VJ, u skladu sa drzavnom politikom, ukljuci u medjunarodne bezbednosne organizacije", rekao je Karagaca precizirajuci da ce do kraja godine nasi oficiri i podoficiri pohadjati vise od 30 kurseva usavrsavanja u inostranstvu, u trajanju od tri dana do tri nedelje. Navedene aktivnosti su sastavni deo intenzivnih priprema za pristupanje nase zemlje programu Partnerstvo za mir, a odlukom Savezne vlade formirana je i interresorska radna grupa za koordinaciju tih aktivnosti.

Zamenik rukovodioca Ekspertskog tima GS VJ, sa saradnicima, razgovarao je u Komandi Podgorickog korpusa sa profesionalnim vojnim licima o saradnji sa Haskim tribunalom.

Predstavnici Pristinskog korpusa, MUP Vranje i zandarmerije obisli su u utorak administrativnu liniju prema Kosovu i Metohiji radi razmatranja mogucnosti sprecavanja ilegalnih prelazaka na teritoriju Savezne Republike Jugoslavije.

Predstavnici Podgorickog korpusa, MUP Republike Crne Gore, Uprave carina i Direkcije javnih radova obisli su karaulu "V.V.Zogovic", gde su sagledali uslove za izgradnju puta i otvaranje granicnog prelaza Grncar.

U selu Borovac, opstina Medvedja, u utorak su se sastali predstavnici Pristinskog korpusa i ruskog kontingenta Kfora radi dogovora o aktivnostima u narednom periodu.

Vojno-filmski centar "Zastava film" osvojio je ovih dana dve vredne nagrade na festivalima medjunarodnog karaktera, odrzanim u nasoj zemlji. Na Petom medjunarodnom festivalu fotografije i filma, koji je ove godine za temu imao vozove, film "Voz" reditelja Gorana Kostica osvojio je Paunovo pero za dokument o putnicima u teskim vremenima. Festival je odrzan u Gospodjincima 30. i 31. avgusta, a nagrada je dodeljena u kategoriji profesionalnog filma. Gran pri Desetog medjunarodnog festivala turistickog, ekoloskog i sportskog filma, koji je odrzan na Zlatiboru, pripao je filmu "Zavicaj" Miluna Vucinica.

U jedinice Vojske Jugoslavije, prema predvidjenoj dinamici, na odsluzenje vojnog roka pristizu regruti septembarske klase.

Pripadnici 450. raketnog puka PVO obelezice u cetvrtak 25. godisnjicu postojanja jedinice, a na svecanosti ce najboljima biti urucena prigodna monografija jedinice, radjena u saradnji sa NIC "Vojska".

Na terasi Centralnog doma VJ veceras i u cetvrtak bice prikazan film "Gosford park". Projekcije pocinju u 20,30 casova, a cena ulaznice je 80 dinara.

 Acting Yugoslav Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Branko Krga held an introductory lecture to the School of National Defense General Staff Advanced Training School 46th class, Tuesday. General Krga spoke about the situation in the surroundings and the process of the YA reorganization, stressing the need for the Constitutional Charter of the new Serbian and Montenegrin state to be adopted as soon as possible and the tasks and position of the YA to be defined, which would present the basis of the new national defense strategy and military doctrine and provide further reorganization of the Yugoslav Army.

Deputy Head of the Defense Ministry International Military Cooperation Department, Colonel Milan Karagaca stated that the UN showed interest in sending the Yugoslav officers to UN peace missions, including specialist groups, as well as the YA units. "Although we are not yet in the Partnership for Peace, the number of specialist courses abroad, attended by the Yugoslav Defense Ministry and the Yugoslav Army representatives and organized by the Partnership for Peace, Stability Pact, international organizations and a number of countries, providing possibility for the YA to join the world security structures, is growing", Karagaca said, stressing that, until the end of this year, the YA officers and noncommissioned officers would attend more than 30 advanced training courses in duration of three days to three weeks. These activities are an integral part of intensified preparations for Yugoslavia's joining the Partnership for Peace and, by the Yugoslav Government Decision, they will be coordinated by a newly formed inter-field committee.

Deputy Head of the YA General Staff Team of Experts and his associates organized a meeting in the Podgorica Corps HQ to discuss cooperation with the Hague Tribunal.

Representatives of the Pristina Corps, Vranje police forces and military police visited Tuesday the administrative line with Kosovo-Metohija to inspect the possibility of illegal crossings to the territory of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

Representatives of the Podgorica Corps, Montenegrin Ministry of Interior, Customs and Public Works Department visited the "V.V.Zogovic" border watchtower to inspect conditions for the construction of a road and opening of the border crossing Grncar.

Pristina Corps and Russian-led Kfor representatives met Tuesday in the village of Borovac, municipality of Medvedja, to discuss activities in the following period.

Military Film Center "Zastava Film" recently won two international festivals awards in Yugoslavia. At the Fifth Festival of Photography and Film, this year dedicated to trains, Goran Kostic's film "Train" won the Peacock's Feather for the documentary about passengers in difficult times. The Festival took place in Gospodjinci, August 30-31 and the prize was in the category of professional film. Grand Prix of the Tenth International Festival of Tourist, Environmental and Sports Film, held on Mt. Zlatibor, was awarded to the film "Homeland" by Milun Vucinic.

September recruits are, in compliance with the plan, arriving these days in the YA units, where they will complete their military service.

Yugoslav Air Defense 450th Rocket-artillery Regiment celebrates Thursday the 25th anniversary of the unit. At the ceremony, the best unit members will be handed the unit monograph, made in cooperation with the "Vojska" News and Information Center.

YA Central Club Open Air Cinema will be showing the film "Gosford Park" tonight and Thursday at 8.30 p.m. The admission fee is 80 dinars.
