US CONGRESS OFFICIALLY INFORMED THE GOVERNMENT OF MONTENEGRO:
$ 40 MILLION IN FOREIGN AID
Podgorica - The United States of America (USA) will give financial aid
of $ 40 million to Montenegro next year.
The Government of Montenegro and the Secretariat of Information were
informed about this conclusion of the Committee for Foreign Aid of House
of Representatives of the US Congress.
The Committee strongly supports Montenegro's assistance and asks from
the Administration to support the Government of Montenegro - it is
stated in the Committee's report.
The recommendation of the Committee includes the financial aid for
Montenegro higher than the one proposed by the US President or, more
precisely, the allocation of 40, rather that 25 million dollars - the
report stated.
MONTENEGRO PARTICIPATED AT THE MEETING OF THE STABILITY PACT FOR SOUTH
EASTERN EUROPE INVESTMENT WITHDRAWAL
Podgorica - The head of Montenegro's Mission in the European Union (EU),
Slavica Mila?i?, and National Co-ordinator of the Stability Pact, Dejan
Baji?, were the representatives of Montenegro at the recently held
meeting of the national co-ordinators of the Stability Pact for the
member countries of south eastern Europe in Brussels.
The representatives of Montenegro emphasised the importance of the
realisation of activities on the projects in the field of energetics,
refugees, and attracting foreign investments.
Mila?i? and Bulaji? also had several bilateral contacts with the
representatives of neighbouring countries, as well as with the
representatives of the Pact's working tables - it is stated in the press
release.
IGOR LUKŠI? ABOUT THE MEETING OF CO-PRESIDENTS IN PODGORICA:

Podgorica - The meeting of the Constitutional Commission Members will be
held in Podgorica during next week - co-president of the Constitutional
Commission Boško Risti? has announced and the subject of the meeting
will be the agreement on the most important issues from the
Constitutional Charter.
The Constitutional Commission Member Igor Lukši? estimated that it would
be good if the Charter was adopted in the Parliaments of both Montenegro
and Serbia before the other round of Serbian presidential elections.
Lukši? has emphasised that the controversial issue of MP election for
the Federal Parliament must be solved in the constructive dialogue and
in the interest of the citizens of Montenegro and Serbia, since November
7th is the first term for association of the joint state in the Council
of Europe.
AMERICAN CONSUL HOT BRIAN YI VISITED BAR
DISCUSSION ON THE PROJECTS TO BE FINANCED BY THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT
Podgorica - American Consul Hot Brian Yi visited Bar municipality
yesterday and discussed with the representatives of the local
self-government about the plans for the future development of the
municipality and projects realised, through USAID, by the American
organisations ICMA and CHF.
The importance of even closer co-operation of local authorities from Bar
and American Consulate in Podgorica was emphasized, in order to plan the
future US Government funded project on the territory of this
municipality on time.

STATEHOOD DAY OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA CELEBRATED
Podgorica - As reception was organised in the Chinese Consulate last
evening to celebrate the Statehood Day of the People's Republic of
China.
Present guests form Montenegrin political scene were welcomed by the
Chinese Ambassador in Belgrade Wen Xi Gui, who emphasised the importance
of development of bilateral relations between China and Montenegro.

doznaciti finansijsku pomoc od 40 miliona dolara.
To je juce zakljucio Komitet za inostranu pomoc Predstavnickog doma
Kongresa SAD-a, o cemu su obavijesteni Vlada Crne Gore i Republicki
sekretarijat za informacije.
Komitet snazno podrzava pomoc Crnoj Gori i trazi od administracije da
ucini sve da podrzi Vladu Crne Gore - navodi se u izvjestaju Komiteta.
Preporuka Komiteta ukljucuje finansijska sredstva iznad predloga
Predsjednika SAD za Crnu Goru, odnosno usmjeravanje 40, umjesto

CRNA GORA UCESTVOVALA NA SASTANKU PAKTA STABILNOSTI ZA JUGOISTICNO
EVROPU PRIVLACENJE INVESTICIJA
Podgorica - Sef crnogorske misije pri Evropskoj uniji (EU) Slavica
Milacic i Nacionalni koordinator Pakta stabilnosti Dejan Bajic
predstavljali su Crnu Goru na nedavno odrzanom sastanku Nacionalnih
koordinatora Pakta stabilnosti zemalja clanica za jugoistocnu Evropu u
Briselu.
Predstavnici Crne Gore, tom prilikom, istakli su znacaj realizacije
aktivnosti na projektima iz oblasti energetike, na pitanju izbjeglica i
privlacenju stranih investicija.
Milacic i Bajic su imali vise bilateralnih kontakata sa predstavnicima
susjednih zemalja, kao i predsjedavajucima radnih stolova Pakta - navodi

Podgorica - Sastanak clanova Ustavne komisije odrzace se u Podgorici
tokom naredne sedmice - najavio je kopredsjedavajuci Ustavne komisije
Bosko Ristic, a tema tog susreta bice dogovor oko najznacajnijih pitanja
koja diktira Ustavna povelja.
Clan Ustavna komisije Crne Gore Igor Luksic ocijenio je da bi bilo dobro
da se povelja usvoji u parlamentima Crne Gore i Srbije prije drugog
kruga za izbor srpskog predsjednika.
Luksic je naglasio da se sporno pitanje izbora poslanika u skupstini
zajednicke drzave mora rijesiti u konstruktivnom dijaloga i interesu
gradjana Crne Gore i Srbije, jer je 7. novembar prvi rok za uclanjenje
zajednicke drzave u Savjet Evrope (SE).
AMERICKI KONZUL HOT BRAJAN JI POSJETIO BAR
RAZGOVOR O PROJEKTIMA KOJE CE FINANSIRATI AMERICKA VLADA
Podgorica - Americki konzul u Crnoj Gori Hot Brajan Ji posjetio je juce
barsku opstinu i tom prilikom je razgovarao sa predstavnicima lokalne
samouprave o planovima buduceg razvoja te opstine i projektima, koje
posredstvom USAID-a realizuju americke organizacije ICMA i CHF.
Istaknut je znacaj jos tjesnije saradnje lokalne uprave Bara i americkog
konzulata u Podgorici, kako bi se na vrijeme planirali buduci projekti,
koje ce na podrucju te opstine finansirati americka vlada.

PROSLAVLJEN DAN DRZAVNOSTI NARODNE REPUBLIKE KINE
Podgorica - U kineskom Konzulatu u Podgorici sinoc je povodom Dana
drzavnosti Narodne Republike Kine priredjen prijem.
Prisutne goste iz politickog javnog zivota Crne Gore pozdravio je
ambasador Kine u Beogradu Ven Ksi Gui, koji je istakao znacaj razvoja
bilateralnih odnosa Kine i Crne Gore.
REPUBLICKI IZBORNA KOMISIJA OBAVILA ZRIJEBANJE
UTVRDJEN REDOSLJED NA GLASACKOM LISTICU
Podgorica - Republicka izborna komisija (RIK) u prisustvu predstavnika
svih politickih partija i koalicija, obavila je juce zrijebanje za
redosljed izbornih lista, na glasackom listicu, za predstojece
parlametnarne izbore zakazane za 20. oktobar.
Iz RIK-a saopstavaju da ce na izborima u Crnoj Gori ucestvovati sedam
koalicija i tri partije i da su one istakle ukupno 678 kandidata za 75
poslanickih mjesta u Skupstini Crne Gore.
CRNA GORA UCESTVOVALA NA MEDJUNARODNOM FORUMU O PREKOGRANICNOJ SARADNJI
JUZNOG JADRANA PUT KA EVROPSKOJ INTEGRACIJI
Podgorica - Na medjunarodnom forumu "Prekogranicna saradnja juznog
Jadrana" koji je nedavno odrzan u Dubrovniku ucestvovali su i
predstavnici Crne Gore.
Tom prilikom istaknut je zajednicki stav ucesnika o prekogranicnoj
saradnji lokalnih i regionalnih vlasti, te javnog i privatnog sektora,
kao preduslov ozdravljenju privrede zajednica regija i vazno orudje za
stabilizaciju odnosa prosperitet, kulturnu saradnju i razumijevanje
naroda.
Ta misija je proglasena najvaznijim prioritetom Pakta stabilnosti za
jugoistocnu Evropu i pravim putem ka evropskoj integraciji.
NA MEDJUNARODNOM SAJMU "AGROEKSPO 2002" U SKOPLJU
TRI ZLATNE MEDALJE ZA DUVANSKI KOMBINAT IZ PODGORICA
Podgorica - Tri zlatne i jedna srebrna medalja dodijeljene su Duvanskom
kombinatu iz Podgorice za kvalitet njegovih proizvoda na medjunarodnom
sajmu "Agroekspo 2002", koji je juce otvoren u Skoplju.
Osim tih medalja Duvanski kombinat iz Podgorice dobio je i sertifikate
za kvalitet fermentiranog duvana za tip "hercegovac" A-1 i B-1
(vansezonski fermentiran).
