Authorities in Kosovo have reportedly selected a German company as the province's designated air carrier.
International authorities in Serbia and Montenegro, of which Kosovo is legally a part, selected a foreign carrier to act in Kosovo's interest temporarily. Kosovo is unable to establish its own national carrier as its final political status is still undermined.
The German company will operate the air carrier - to be called Kosovo Airlines - under a three-year contract, reported The Associated Press.
