Former Bosnian President reportedly dies

¡¡¡¡BELGRADE, Sept. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Former President of the Bosnia-Herzegovina collective presidency, Alija Izetbegovic, 78, died of illness on Friday in a Sarajevo hospital, the Tanjug news agency reported.

¡¡¡¡The Tanjug news agency quoted local "BN" TV as reporting on Friday night that Izetbegovic died of "long and serious" illness on Friday, but Tanjug emphasized that the news had not been officially confirmed..

¡¡¡¡"The authority in Sarajevo won't announce the death now" because a memorial ceremony is scheduled for Saturday and former US President Bill Clinton is to attend the ceremony, Tanjug reported by quoting "BN" TV.
