Bosnian Serb delegation’s visit criticised
SARAJEVO: The Muslim member of the Bosnian presidency, Sulejman Tihic, reacted angrily on Sunday to a recent visit to Russia by a Bosnian Serb delegation, describing it as a serious violation of the countryís foreign policy.
Tihic said last weekís visit by senior officials of Bosniaís Serb-run entity — Republika Srpska (RS) had been organised secretly.
ìThe presidency has the sole authority for (Bosniaís) foreign policy, but in this case the state officials were not even informed of the visit,î Tihic said in a statement.
Tihic also said that the visit was a clear violation of the 1995 peace agreement that ended Bosniaís three-and-a-half-year-long war by splitting the country into two semi-autonomous parts, the Serbsí Republika Srpska and the Muslim-Croat federation.
