Bosnian Paper: Trajkovski Plane Crash is Pilot's Fault

Politics: 28 February 2004, Saturday.
It was a mistake of the pilot that caused for the plane of Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski to crash, Bosnian newspaper Dnevni Avaz wrote Saturday.

According to the article, the pilot was having some trouble flying the machine because of bad weather conditions.

Meanwhile, Bosnia's Pincom.info blames the incident on a French air traffic controller, member of NATO's Stabilisation Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SFOR). That dispatcher was on duty at the time Trajkovski's plane went down, Pincom says.

There were a total of nine people onboard, none of them survived. The US-made aircraft had to take them to an international investment conference in Mostar, but suddenly disappeared from radar screens as approaching the city. Soon after, it was confirmed that the machine had crashed.

The bodies of nine of the victims, including President Trajkovski, were taken to Mostar, one is still to be transported from the site of the tragic accident.
