The Most graphic photos of U.S. abuse of Iraqui prisoners & more

"The working masses of men and women, they and they alone, are
responsible for everything that takes place, the good things and the
bad things. True enough, they suffer most from a war, but it is their
apathy, craving for authority, etc., that is most responsible for
making wars possible. It follows of necessity from this
responsibility that the working masses of men and women, they and
they alone, are capable of establishing lasting peace."
—Wilhelm Reich, The Mass Psychology of Fascism

Abuse may have been 'order'
Abuse of Iraqi prisoners that sparked worldwide condemnation may have
been ordered by US military intelligence to extract information from
the captives, and was possibly more cruel than officially
acknowledged, The New Yorker magazine and Britain's daily Guardian
reported on Saturday.
This kind of treatment of prisoners is right out of Nazi Germany!

The Empire in Denial and the Denial of Empire
On March 31, with the false claims about Iraqi weapons of mass
destruction still fresh in the public mind, John Bolton,
Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security,
offered Congress 35 pages of written testimony that Cuba "remains a
terrorist and [biological weapons] threat to the United States."

Excerpts from writings of accused soldier who helped run Baghdad
prison
"I questioned some of the things that I saw ... such things as
leaving inmates in their cell with no clothes or in females'
underpants, handcuffing them to the door of their cell. I questioned
this and the answer I got was, 'This is how military intelligence
(MI) wants it done.'"

Judge set to testify in Zundel trial
Judge Lauren Marshall is expected to describe the extraordinary
lengths federal immigration officials went to in 1985 to deport Mr.
Zundel to Germany. Her testimony could bolster Mr. Zundel's
contention that officials have repeatedly tried to ship him out of
the country not because he is dangerous, but because he espouses
highly unpopular views.

How We Got Into This Unjust War
Apparently, Bush and Cheney still believe that weapons will be found,
and so will the link to al-Qaida. They are, I think, the only ones
who believe in either global folk tale.
