The Democratic Party of Kosovo, headed by Hasim Taci, claims that Kosumi spent 30,000 euros for a chartered flight returning from his holiday in Turkey last night. Kosumi, who became PM four months ago after former prime minister Ramus Haradinaj was extradited to The Hague, said that the flight was not paid for using government funds but financed by friends of his. Taci's party has called on Kosovo Governor Soeren Jessen-Petersen to immediately launch an investigation into the matter, stating that Kosumi is "damaging the image of Kosovo and putting the stability, democracy and responsibility of the Kosovo institutions at risk." Also, Kosumi's media advisor Daut Dauti resigned last night, citing as the reason for his departure the current situation within the PM's office which, he says, does not allow for normal communication between himself and Kosumi to exist.
