Mina: Kosovo’s Mafia Enriched with over EUR 1 Million from Dutch Financial
Aid

Amsterdam. A considerable part of the Dutch financial aid for Kosovo sent by
Dutch NGO’s was distributed wrongly and now at least EUR 1 million is in the
hands of the Kosovo mafia, the Montenegrin MinaAgency claims, citing a
Holland newspaper NRC Handelsbald. This was a financial aid for the Kosovo
refugees amounting to EUR 50 million that in 1999 used to be donated by NGOs
in Holland.
Beisdes tha part that went directly in the hands of the Kosovo mafia there
is another EUR 250,000 missing. The first in the list of the suspected are
the official Red Cross representatives and the NGO Novib. It is one of the
nine NGOs that were part of the union for the financial aid for Kosovo. 
The mafia in Kosovo got to the money mainly through the contracts Novib had
for renovation of schools in Kosovo
