TERRITORY IN DANGER

(Kosova Sot, editorial)

All the attacks are directed towards Kosovo. >From decentralization and other projects, which are prepared on the other side of the border and presented to the decision-making centres, one can see an intensified campaign aiming that Serbia keeps something in Kosovo under its control. The decentralization project has been nurturing the appetites for the partition of territories despite the promises of Kosovo politicians that they will categorically refuse the plans that are against Kosovos interests.

But a silent that is following last meetings with international officials and that seems to have direct connections to the compromise that is being mentioned very often. What kind of compromise is that? The process that has left without consensus is decentralization, there where some  important diplomats ask for liberalisation of Kosovo stance. We have seen a soft liberalisation of this position by now, which cannot be by any official who is involved in the direct talks and in process since the beginning.

From the plan A it has been moved to the plan B, and now it seems that the Negotiation Group will have another variant with some other changes, which unfortunately are being kept away from Kosovo public.

Getting closer to the plan C, we see that Belgrades pressure, even though did not make any success, reached a small progress, which make a legal concern. Diplomats do not leave any meeting without mentioning compromise on status and decentralization. Territory could be a great price to be paid, besides the other that Kosovo people has paid. But nobody is becoming transparent and find these backgrounds. What are our politicians waiting for? Kosovo citizen has the right to know what is happening in these talks and till when will Kosovo side withdraw, and for what reason?
